Technical Requirements


PRINTING MATERIAL (2 possibilities)

  

1.CD-Rom (Mac Compatible) with the following files:
  Layout in Quark X-Press (6.5) or Illustrator CS2
  Process colour separation: CMYK EPS, TIFF (i.e. pictures/logos)
  Images in 300 DPI resolution
  All fonts used MUST be supplied
  1 colour proof is requested.
     
2. PDF in high resolution (300 DPI) to send to publications@uitp.com

NB: UITP accepts no responsibility if no colour proof is provided.

LANGUAGES  


PTI is printed in 4 full colour separate language issues: English, French, German and Spanish.
The advertiser has the following choice:
  Either to put the ad in one of the 4 languages in each language version;
  Or to have his ad in the 4 separate languages.

Due to the printing process, the 4 languages change in the 4 colour films is only possible on the COVERS. For the inside pages, the language change can only appear in the BLACK FILM and must be OVERPRINT. No language change in the Cyan, Magenta and Yellow films will be accepted. Any additional cost due to no respect of this constraint will be charged to the advertiser.
 
COLOURS  

No other colour reference than CMYK (e.g. Pantone, HKS references) will be accepted.
Costs of any modification or duplicates will be billed to the advertiser.
 
CONDITIONS  


The publishers are entitled to refuse to place an advertisement for any reason.
No modification, no layout will be made by UITP (except for the Tech Review and the Classified).
Cancellation Period : 3 weeks before the booking deadline.
After this date, UITP reserves the right to invoice 50% of the price.
The printing material must be in the UITP office 4 weeks before the publication date. If the printing material does not arrive on time, UITP reserves the right to print the booked page with only the name of the advertiser and to invoice 100% of the order.
 
VOUCHER COPY  

Each advertiser receives 1 voucher copy of each issue in which their ad has appeared.
Additional copies will be billed at unit price.
